Work, work, work

Yeah, I've been pretty busy with work, and naturally the faster I work the more there is to do.... I've pretty maxed out my project capacity for the moment, but at least I'm getting my wish to do more neuropathology.
I love the cardigan I finished over New Year - it's soft and warm, and after I cycle to work I smell faintly of wet sheep. Sure, that's reinforcing a stereotype, but that's only a problem for negative stereotypes, right? The sleeves blocked out a little long (below), but they seem to have sprung back now.

We thoroughly confused the keepers of a fairly upmarket kitchen-equipment shop by taking photos of their complementary milk sachets (adjacent to complimentary coffee). They made us laugh, but it's pretty much an in-joke for people familiar with Mini-Moo up North in NZ.

Our home away from home away from home

Happy New Year, everyone.....

We spent most of the last week house-sitting/cat-sitting for Elena & Patrick. Even though this place is practically our home away from home away from home (you can tell by the way half of the decorations on the Christmas tree are figurines from The Nightmare Before Christmas), it's amazing how the little differences managed to throw us off... It wasn't until we were about to leave that we were able to find the dishwashing liquid, which was built into a sink-mounted dispensing unit. Way to flash for us to figure out, I'm afraid.

One of our charges was Greebo, pictured with Mort, below: One of these animals was distinctly unimpressed with the idea of a photo-shoot.

Phyllis Diller (named for her voice) likes to sleep in odd positions.

While house-sitting, I mostly finished knitting my cardigan. I just need to hunt down some nice buttons for it.

We came back to our wheat-beer (an attempt at a Hoegaarden clone), which is sporting the webbing Brew-Hauler that Santa got us for Christmas (along with a refractometer).
